Established in January 2012, the myhotelshop.de platform aims to increase direct business in hotels and offers access to relevant marketing channels, manages and distributes hotel content to the most important hotel listing services and offers advice, measures and reports everything regarding the online success of its hotel partners.
Ullrich Kastner has worked in the hotel industry since 1996, trained in the Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin as well as other establishments, then worked in London and studied in Switzerland, where he finished his hospitality degree at Washington State University with summa cum laude.
Between 2002 and 2008 he primarily focused on the field of e-commerce and was responsible for the online activities of Hilton and Accor hotels in Germany, amongst others.
Afterwards worked for the travel website TripAdvisor as Head of Sales Central Europe, before he went on to manage the hotel division of the Unister Group for 2 years (ab-in-den-urlaub.de, etc.).
At the end of 2011, Ullrich Kastner started working as a consultant for trivago, Thomas Cook (amongst others). Beginning of 2012 he founded myhotelshop, which he launched in summer 2012.
Since then more than 2000 hotels signed up to work with the marketing and content distribution platform.
Ronnie started his hotel career as a trainee in the Dorint Hotel Mainz. After having worked as a sales coordinator with Starwood Hotels in Frankfurt, he finished a degree in tourism & travel management at the University of Applied Sciences in Worms.
The following 3 years, Ronnie worked in brand marketing and e-commerce departments of Accorhotels’ German headquarter in Munich. After that, Ronnie joined the tour operator Thomas Cook where he was commercially responsible for 6 tour operator and online travel agency websites for the last 5 years. He holds an Executive MBA degree from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.
Since March 2016, Ronnie looks after operational departments at the myhotelshop headquarter in Leipzig, i.e. support, connectivity, campaign management and marketing.
In 2004 Christian started his career as an apprentice for hotel management at the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center. Later he collected further experiences at prestigious Starwood Hotels & Resorts when working for the St. Regis Resort, Fort Lauderdale in Florida and The St. Regis, New York. In his duties in Rooms Divison Management and as Maître d'étage he was responsible for the well-being in international hotel guests.
In 2009 he started his sales career at the Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nürnberg.
In the beginning of 2010 Christian was attracted by the Luxury Collection Hotel Fürstenhof, Leipzig. The first 2.5 years he was responsible for sales and business development. In October 2012 he became the Service Manager in the Food & Beverage department.
Since March 2014 in the myhotelshop team, he now leads the national and international business development, for our individual hotels and chains. Christian and his team are your personal points of contact for creating your online marketing campaign.
Uwe gained his first experience in the tourism industry as Portal manager of the Travel24.com AG (Unister Group) in Leipzig and was responsible for the operative management of the national and international platforms.
His educational background is media management and eCommerce enriched with a deep understanding of web development.
In 2012 he joined the Lecturio GmbH as Head of Product where he focused on strategic and operative product management and was responsible for all desktop and mobile applications.
Since August 2016, Uwe Sonderhoff is working for myhotelshop taking care of the product management and business intelligence.
